Instructions for changing your password are @ http://www.tstcmarshall.net/PSS.htm

In order to standardize all applications a change was made across all TSTC campuses to change over to a new naming schema. This new system will allow for unified usernames and password in all our web applications when it is implemented. This will reduce the number of usernames and passwords you will have to remember to access all the services provided by the TSTC Systems Organization. This change will be effective on May 9, 2005, we will continue to keep old account live until the start of the Fall Semester to allow students to save important emails over to their new accounts.
We have quite a few features on our email system such as spam and virus filtering that could be affecting your mail. There is also a 400 meg limit on the mailbox size, check the number of messages you have and try freeing up some space. If this doesn't resolve the problem call the Help Desk for detailed support.
Our sister campuses are changing over to a GroupWise system for their student mail. When we implemented our own mail system at Marshall we decided to use Microsoft Exchange for it's extra features. All Marshall students now have local email accounts, subsequently all TSTC NetMail accounts have been deleted.
We have a program on the mail server called DSPAM that allows individual control over what might or might not be SPAM mail. A quick how to sheet on how to use the program is located at http://www.tstcmarshall.net/dspam.htm Please take the time to look over the usage sheet and start taking control over your email content today.
Web Advisor requires a password that is a minimum of 6 and a maxmium of 9 alpha-numeric characters (numbers and letters). You can not reuse old passwords with the system and it must be changed every 120 days.
All of the computers in the General Use labs are equiped with a mechanism that does not allow any unauthorized software to be installed and will automatically delete it when the system is restarted. This is for your protection and to reduce the maintenance issues that result from virus and other malicious code that could infect the machine. Please do not install anything on the machines. This also includes any homework you may have been trying to save. All students are provided disk space on the server to save their school work on. If you do not have a personal drive mapped when you log in to a General Lab computer, please contact a Help Desk technician.
TSTC Marshall assets represent a large investment in money and resources. In order to protect these resources the cameras are being installed as a way of monitoring against damage or theft. One of the biggest assets we have are our students and the cameras will also assist our DPS Officers to help protect you from being affected by any number of malicious acts.
We offer both Student and Faculty/Staff wireless access. We require authentication to access the wireless service so you must register your wireless device with Network Operations before using your wireless device. Stop by Office 205 to get registered, it's free and we set it up for you.
Whether you are on or off campus, our Systems Operation office has a web site for checking grades. Once grades have been posted by your instructors, you can go to Web Advisor and log in. Your grades are accessible by term on the link for grades. Remember your login ID for this site is first initial, middle initial and last name. If in doubt go the What's my username link from the site and have it look it up for you. Your initial password is the same as your school login password.
